Cardholder Agreement
Terms and conditions for the eWallet Debit Card, issued by Sunrise Banks, N.A., Member FDIC, pursuant to a license from Mastercard.
Card Issuer Disclosure
The eWallet Debit Card is issued by Sunrise Banks, N.A., Member FDIC, pursuant to a license from Mastercard.
1. Agreement Overview
This Cardholder Agreement ("Agreement") governs your use of the eWallet Debit Card ("Card"). By activating, signing, or using the Card, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.
Parties to This Agreement
- Card Issuer: Sunrise Banks, N.A., Member FDIC
- Program Manager: Onbe
- Card Network: Mastercard
- Platform Provider: JHD Investment Group LLC (d/b/a eWallet)
Important
Your Card is issued by Sunrise Banks, N.A., not by eWallet. eWallet is a technology platform that provides access to financial services. Sunrise Banks, N.A. is the issuing bank and is responsible for all card functions.
2. Definitions
The following terms have specific meanings when used in this Agreement:
- "Card" means the eWallet Debit Card issued to you by Sunrise Banks, N.A.
- "Account" means your eWallet account associated with the Card
- "Available Balance" means the funds available for use in your Account
- "Cardholder" or "you" means the person in whose name the Card is issued
- "Transaction" means any use of the Card to obtain goods, services, or cash
- "PIN" means your Personal Identification Number
- "ATM" means Automated Teller Machine
- "POS" means Point of Sale terminal
3. Card Use & Restrictions
The Card may be used anywhere Mastercard debit cards are accepted, subject to your Available Balance and the restrictions described in this Agreement.
Permitted Uses
- Purchases at merchants that accept Mastercard
- Online and in-app purchases
- ATM cash withdrawals at Mastercard-compatible ATMs
- Cash back at participating merchants
- Recurring payments and subscriptions
Prohibited Uses
You may NOT use the Card for:
- Illegal activities or purchases
- Gambling (online or in-person)
- Adult content or services
- Cryptocurrency purchases
- Money orders or wire transfers
- Any transaction exceeding your Available Balance
Note: Transactions for prohibited purposes may be declined, reversed, or result in account termination. eWallet and Sunrise Banks, N.A. reserve the right to restrict or close accounts used for prohibited activities.
4. Fees & Charges
The following fees may apply to your Card usage. Fees are deducted from your Available Balance.

5. Transaction Types
Your Card supports several types of transactions:
Purchase Transactions
- Signature (Credit): Sign for purchases at POS terminals
- PIN (Debit): Enter your PIN at POS terminals
- Online: Use card number, expiration, and CVV
- Contactless: Tap your card at compatible terminals
Cash Access
- ATM Withdrawal: Withdraw cash at any Mastercard-compatible ATM
- Cash Back: Get cash back at participating merchants with debit purchases
Transaction Authorization
All transactions are authorized against your Available Balance at the time of the transaction. Pending transactions may temporarily reduce your Available Balance even before they are completed (settled).
6. Spending & Withdrawal Limits
The following limits apply to your Card usage:
Daily Purchase Limit
Maximum combined purchase transactions per day
Daily ATM Limit
Maximum ATM withdrawals per day
Per Transaction Limit
Maximum single transaction amount
Monthly Spending Limit
Maximum combined transactions per month
Limits may vary based on your account status and verification level. Contact support for information about increasing your limits.
7. Disputes & Error Resolution
If you believe there is an error on your statement or an unauthorized transaction on your account, you have certain rights under federal law (Regulation E).
How to Report an Error

Timeframes
- Report within 60 days: You must report errors within 60 days of the statement date showing the error
- Investigation period: We will investigate within 10 business days (up to 45 days for certain transactions)
- Provisional credit: If investigation takes longer than 10 business days, we will provide provisional credit
What to Include
When reporting an error, please provide: your name and account number, the date and amount of the suspected error, a description of the error, and why you believe it is an error.
8. Liability & Protections
Your Card includes protections under Mastercard's Zero Liability policy and federal Regulation E.
Mastercard Zero Liability
You will not be held responsible for unauthorized transactions made with your Card if you have used reasonable care in safeguarding your Card and reported the loss promptly.
Your Liability Under Regulation E
- Report within 2 business days: Maximum liability of $50
- Report after 2 business days but within 60 days: Maximum liability of $500
- Report after 60 days: You may be liable for all unauthorized transactions
Protect Your Card: Never share your PIN, card number, or CVV. Treat your Card like cash. Report lost or stolen cards immediately.
9. Lost or Stolen Cards
If your Card is lost or stolen, report it immediately to minimize your liability for unauthorized transactions.

What Happens Next
- Your Card will be immediately deactivated
- A replacement Card will be ordered
- Any pending transactions may be reviewed
- You will receive your new Card within 7-10 business days (or faster with expedited shipping)
In the eWallet App
You can also freeze your Card instantly in the eWallet app under Card Settings. This prevents new transactions while you locate your Card.
10. Account Termination
Either you or we may terminate your Card at any time.
You May Close Your Account
- Contact support to request account closure
- Any remaining balance will be returned to you
- Destroy your Card by cutting through the chip and magnetic stripe
We May Close Your Account
We may close your Card account for reasons including:
- Suspected fraud or unauthorized use
- Violation of this Agreement or Terms of Service
- Inactivity for extended periods
- Regulatory or legal requirements
- Program termination
If we close your account, we will return any remaining balance (minus any outstanding fees or disputes) to you. We will notify you of the closure unless prohibited by law.
